My first post of November isn’t a happy one. The Sixers lost again last night after a three game win streak, but I expect home losses to terrible teams as long as Glenn is coaching here. The home loss I’m most saddened by is that of the Phillies, a team that had been 6-0 at home before last night and didn’t just lose but got dominated. I figured the Astros were too good a team to lose to us in in five, so expecting our strategy of stealing one on the road then blanking our opponent in Citizens Bank Park to work again was probably unreasonable. I would have liked to see us clinch a championship at home, because I didn’t get to see 08 live, and not even seeing us win a natty is worth setting foot in Houston for.
Speaking of that horrible city, there’s a game between the Eagles and the Texans tonight, too, and I’m frankly not sure what I did to deserve an opportunity to watch two Houston teams lose to Philadelphia teams in one night. I’m confident the Phillies will bounce back in Game 5 to take the series lead, and I’m confident the Eagles will stomp the Texans for our first-ever 8-0 start. I’m too lazy to come up with numbers, but I am looking to recover from my 0-3 start in predictions, so mark these as official predictions. I’m also never doing a predication on a Sixers game again until they fire the coach.
