Despite pretty much our entire team being injured, we were able to beat Brooklyn and their big three of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Ben Simmons. I won’t get into Ben’s history with us, but after Brooklyn ruined his soft homecoming last season, it was nice to get some revenge. We were led by Tobias Harris, De’Anthony Melton, and “B’Ball” Paul Reed in the 115-106 victory. As much deserved flak as Doc Rivers gets, he’s shown that he’s able to win with teams he has no business winning with, like that Clippers team whose best player was, coincidentally enough, Tobias Harris. Because of that, I believe we can weather the storm until one of James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, or Joel Embiid comes back, and we’ll go right back to losing games we should have easily won instead.
