Today, we’ll be trading with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Since BBGM thinks they’re contending, this will be a difficult trade to pull off, but I’m going to try anyway.

Sixers-Cavs trade

This is what I got after ten minutes of playing with the trade machine. It wouldn’t work in real life due to the Stepien rule, and if Philly actually did this, I would hate them forever but fuck it. The AI won’t take anything less than five firsts, so I’m attaching five firsts.

2023 Sixers

This is our team after the trade and re-signings. We’re six players over the roster limit, so we’ll be making pretty liberal use of that Release button. To everyone on our bench, may the odds be ever in your favor.

2024 Sixers

This is what our team looks like at the start of next season. I wish we could release everyone, honestly.

2024 Sixers Pre-Playoffs

This is how we look going into the playoffs. We actually finished 10 games over .500, which is much better than what I expected. It certainly helps that Embiid played all 82 games, and a peek at the award races tab shows he finished fourth in the MVP voting, which should have been much higher considering the roster he carried to a top 4 finish in the East. Cade Cunningham actually finished second in the voting behind Doncic, as he managed to carry Detroit to 45 wins with 25.9/7.7/9.6 averages. We play Cunningham and Detroit in the first round of the playoffs and beat them in seven games. We then get swept by Boston, who hilariously go on to lose to the Cleveland team that traded all its depth for Tobias Harris in seven games.

Still, we didn’t reach the conference finals, and we let Boston embarrass us again, so the trade was a failure. Until next time, this is Phil A. Phrenetic, signing off.
