Today, we’ll be trading with the Houston Rockets. We manage to trade Tobias Harris, Furkan Korkmaz, and our first round pick next year for Kenyon Martin Jr. and Jae’Sean Tate. Though Martin isn’t quite as good as Harris, he’s super young, so with a good offseason, we could be looking very good next year.
Sadly, Martin regressed, but Paul Reed popped, so I’m feeling really good about this team.
We managed to get the 1 seed in the East with 55 wins. We had the second-best offense and the 11th best defense. Despite losing our first two playoff games to an Evan Mobley-less Cleveland Cavaliers team, we won four straight after that to advance to the second round. We then sweep Chicago to clinch a spot in the conference finals. We won our first game against Giannis and the Bucks, but then they won four straight, ending our season. They matched up with Golden State in the Finals, who like us won the first game and then lost three straight before winning three and a row to redeem themselves for 2016 and clinch their fifth championship of the modern era.
Anyway, we made the ECF, and Boston got swept out of the second round, so the trade was a success.
