Today, we’re going to trade with the San Antonio Spurs. Since they’re actually a good organization, they only have good players on cheap contracts, and they obviously weren’t trading any of them for Harris and some picks to add to their already-massive pick stash. We end up settling on this trade:
The trade makes us worse, which isn’t what you’re aiming for when trading with a rebuilding team, but whatever. Makes Collins will turn out to be an actually good backup for Embiid.
This is what our team looks like at the start of next season:
Well, you can’t win them all.
These are our season results:
Despite our lack of talent and Embiid missing 15 games, we manage to finish with the best record in the league. We had the fourth best offense and the sixth best defense, so we got our 57 wins from contributions from both sides of the court.
Orlando tested us a lot in the first round, but we managed to beat them in six before taking a 3-0 lead over Chicago. Chicago then won four straight to win the series, showing that you can take the Glenn off the team, but you can’t take the team off the Glenn. Or something.
